Instructions for showing the badge on your site

The Wordsy Story Badge is a way for you to integrate your own site with Wordsy and embed features from this site in your own site or blog.

The Wordsy Story Badge is a small element you can embed in your own pages or blog posts which displays the current status of the page it is embedded in. For pages that have not been submitted to Wordsy, it enables your site visitors to submit the page. For pages that have been submitted, it enables your visitors to vote on your page without having to visit Wordsy.

Why you should embed the Wordsy Story Badge in your own pages:

  • it makes it easier for your members to submit your posts to Wordsy, helping your pages climb the rankings here
  • it invites more people to vote for your posts and pages, making it easier for your site to gain recognition
  • it gets more people interested in what you and we do by linking to the best social bookmarking site on books, reading and writing

How to embed the Wordsy Story Badge in your site

The badge uses JavaScript to embed itself in your pages. It's simple, small and fast and will not affect page download time much. It only takes a minute for you to include the code.

We recommend that you put the code in your site's template files so that it is included automatically in every post. If you're not familiar with how this is done, read the documentation for your content management system or blogging tool.

You can also include the code manually, however that means you need to copy and paste it every time you make a new post.
