The Best Children’s Book Ever

Well, poor old Harry didn’t make the cut. The series just couldn’t compete against C. S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which has just been voted the best children’s book of all time. The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle took second place in the poll. The top twenty list is here for your perusal.

Hmmm, kinda surprised they lumped all books for the under-18 set together. The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe don't really belong in the same category.

Oh, and very British in origin as well. No Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, or Judy Blume.

CS Lewis ... the secular part of me is screaming at this blatant display of Christian cultural bias.

Road Dahl made it to the list, yes! RD rocks! His writing for adults too! He wrote some really outstanding memoirs! I miss Astrid Lindgren, she's been successful outside of Sweden too, some of you may know of her. Well, I know what my future kids will have to hear every evening. :)
