From what I’ve seen of it, I don’t care for it. That’s obviously not a scholarly assessment—more a pleasure-from-reading perspective—though I suspect that if I got close enough to thoroughly examine the genre, I may very well have similarly negative things to say. That’s not to deny women their voice, but I rather fear I wouldn’t come down on the side of chick lit as literature…you know, the type of writing that will stand the test of time. Am I offering myself up to the flames here, or what? LOL
I suppose we could have used the title 'not safe for anyone' many times already, but I thought it would be especially pertinent here because in this show Richard and Hans illustrate the many situations in which the C-word is perfectly appropriate.
