NPR.org Expands Book Coverage

Good news in the book reviews department:

National Public Radio has expanded the book coverage on its website, adding weekly book reviews, and has hired six new book reviewers—including a graphic novel reviewer—and added more features to an already existing lineup of author podcasts, critics' lists and other book-focused content.

Kudos to the Critics

The Association of American Publishers will award its AAP Honors prize to the National Book Critics Circle this year. The award honors "significant achievements in promoting American books and authors," and is being given to the NBCC in recognition of their work to save book reviews.

A look at a new critic

Site is informative and provides a list of authors and topics if you care to comment on your favorite. Actually I was looking for anything having to do with Hemingway's folly for a paper that I am contemplating. Imagine the life of a critic, living a split life of his author's world and his own. Interesting read on Hemingway.
