Starting on 18th March, Penguin UK is launching its most ambitious digital writing project to date. In collaboration with fêted alternate reality game designers Six to Start, Penguin has challenged some of its top authors to create new forms of story - designed specially for the internet. We Tell Stories will create new fiction and offer a unique, immersive and innovative experience.

This nine panel cartoon on the cover of New Yorker Magazine depicts how the book as an object has a finite ‘shelf life’, from conception to trash can. The blog post points out how the writing contained within the book transcends the physical—“the book’s the least interesting thing about the process.”

With the holidays coming up and the all too time consuming problem of shopping for that hard to find person, I thought this book my be something everyone would like--humor and science fiction short stories. This is the first edition, there's another out.

To a person who makes a living with words on a page, computer games are the devil's spawn. They are anti-story machines whose sole purpose is to undermine the tradition of storytelling, nay, the necessity of storytelling as a way to explain human nature. And they suck up valuable writing time...lol.

Considering the growing interest in memoir these days, I thought this site might appeal, particularly to the writers. It’s amazing what can be packed into one single sentence…pain, joy, sorrow, insight. And, as one fellow says: “Every book I have ever read was made up of single sentences.”
