Shelf Life

The Anti-Story Machines

To a person who makes a living with words on a page, computer games are the devil's spawn. They are anti-story machines whose sole purpose is to undermine the tradition of storytelling, nay, the necessity of storytelling as a way to explain human nature. And they suck up valuable writing time...lol.

True Stories Told in One Sentence

Considering the growing interest in memoir these days, I thought this site might appeal, particularly to the writers. It’s amazing what can be packed into one single sentence…pain, joy, sorrow, insight. And, as one fellow says: “Every book I have ever read was made up of single sentences.”
